  • Blue Angels, May 21, 2002
photos and story by Barbara R Craig

The imagestation album of photos of the Blue Angels is now available HERE! Remember you see a thumbnail in the album, if you want to see a clearer, larger image with more detail, just click on the image in the album and it blows up to full size! Enjoy. You can actually see the pilot's inside the jets in some of the images. The prop plane is Fat Albert--the plane that travels with the Blue Angels. Look closely at the images, if the photo seems to be oriented incorrectly, it isn't, the planes were flying upside down, right side up, straight up, straight down, you name it.

What a glorious day it was!

    Crowd pleasers

    Formation

    Boy they were CLOSE!

    Whosh!

Wingtip to fuselage. They couldn't get any closer.

    Upside Down

    Yikes!

    And the crowd ducks!

    Just above the light poles
