I
am embarrassed to say that I can't tell much about the game, except
that from what I saw, it was exciting and Navy won. My husband and
our friends told me that I missed a great game!
These pictures are from the first 5 minutes and the last 7 minutes.
You see, my son's uniforms got forgotten at home and I managed to
race back and forth in about an hour. Not bad considering we live
20 miles away from West Point and security was very very tight.
The MPs warned everyone to get out of the way of the Navy Mom in
the white van - I was a Mom on a mission. :-) The Tailgate party
was wonderful - I asked who paid for it and got a couple of different
answers. I heard from a Mid that the welfare fund paid for it, but
someone else said that a Navy Fan from Brooklyn took care of everything.
Anyway,
everyone present was treated to chicken, steak and ribs and an extensive
assortment of salads. There were a handful of parents in attendance
and everyone enjoyed talking to the Mids. Some of the Exchange Mids
from last Fall semester were also there and enjoyed seeing the friends
that they made up at WP. The Mids really apreciated the good food
and soda. A great time was had by all. The buses were on the road
before 6 pm for the trip back to the Yard.
