The alleged Dark Ages are upon us, but you can't tell by the weather or the mood on the Yard. On Saturday, January 12, 2002 it was sunny, warm, and clear. Mids were enjoying the outdoors, relaxing downtown in stores and restaurants, and running in shorts!

The USNA Men's Basketball team played against Bucknell in the mid-afternoon to a crowd of over 2000 spectators-pretty good for a bright and mild winter day when most people wanted to enjoy the outdoors.

The Women's team player earlier in the day, but I am afraid we missed that game. The Men's game was packed with excitement. Navy took the lead at the beginning, then before the end of the half, Bucknell surged to close the gap. But the mids came on strong in the second half and won 64-49. The cheerleaders performed aerial feats centercourt during time-outs and the D&B as always sounded wonderful.
