Indoc!

The Detailers are doing a great job!
I realize that we would like them to be 'nicer', but the Plebes
would not learn half as fast and the quality of the Midshipmen
would be less. I listened to several of them and talked to
many. They get up before the Plebes, go to bed after them,
run farther, and deal with lots of last minute changes, as
the weather changes and the construction schedules are delayed
and keep them from areas that they had planned to use. I have
heard the yelling at PEP, and the compassion as they encourage
and help. It is not an easy job.

Here are todays photos along with some of yesterday. I do have
more disks packed in the trunk of my car and will add those
once I get home. That will be in a few days. Hope your Waldo
is here.

Here are yesterday's edition of Nadine's Plebe chase.
I have determined that
1. my camera does not do action shots too well.
2. Plebes never stand still unless at the postion of attention.
Intramurals started yesterday and I parked myself at one spot
and just clicked away while they came in and out and up and
down. They looked like they were having fun!
Hope you find yours. |

More training on the yard. The days are HOT and HUMID. The Plebes
are learning to march together. |

Training 7-7-03
As I was coming over to the office to upload some photos, I
heard marching. So I headed around to the front of Bancroft.
Coming down the walk from the parade ground/Alumni Hall area
were Plebes. I set up to take some pictures. That's where most
of today's shots came from. Marching back to Bancroft for dinner.
Some had on work whites, some had cammy's and carried weapons.
The ones in whites formed up in T Square and waited for the
rest of the Plebes. I took more shots and started talking to
a Youngster who had been to my area of the country last spring
break. Seems he was the roommate of our Parents club president.
So we talked and when I turned around to take more pictures,
who should I see at a distance but my Plebe!. Too far for a
picture, but close enough to make my heart rest easy.
They did accountability and then marched into Bancroft, King
Hall bound for dinner. It was rather nice to see them marching
in. Having the drum beating did help them stay in step and after
only 5 days they looked great!

Album 7-4-03 Training
The other morning they did a run. I think it was
1 and 1/2 miles. They looked really good. I have been watching
plebes learning to march and handle their weapons, and also
got to hear and see a little bit of their self defense classes.
Each morning the Plebes are out marching and doing PEP. I got
a few runners the other day, but camera problems made it impossible
to get but a few. |
